Whether workboats or cruising yachts, they are known for their comfort, stability and strength.

With the building of aluminum ships as their main trade, ALU MARINE have diversified their activities over the years to meet the growing demand from professional maritime enterprises and amateur sailors.

ALU MARINE rapidly made their mark in the world of high quality cruising yachts with the building of Douce France amongst others. This luxury 138-foot catamaran is the largest cruising sailing catamaran in the world.

1986 : Founding of ALU MARINE.
Â
The yard progressively conquered new markets and acquired a global reputation.
At the same time, the number and the size of the boats being built by them were increasing.

1986 : Launching of Douce France, the largest luxury sailing catamaran ever built.

2005 : The yard was bought by Jean-Claude BORGEL. His vision and passion for all things nautical, gave a new impetus to the activities of ALU MARINE.

2009 : ALU MARINE set up their new premises. This new high-performance, ultramodern facility allowed the yard to increase their capacity of production and improve the teams’ working conditions. Richard GIBEAUD joined the company as General Manager.

2010 : Saw the launching of the largest industrial barge ever built by the shipyard. Developping of the NOAH range, luxury trawler catamarans with a unique design, designed by Van Peteghem Lauriot Prevost (VPLP) and built by ALU MARINE. Also the launching of the HAVANA series of luxury sailing catamarans, designed in collaboration with the renowned naval architects, Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design for long distance cruising.

2011: ALU MARINE celebrates its 25 years. Construction of a 100-foot ketch. Development of new international sales offices.
